Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg is the Poet Laureate of Kansas and the author of 10 books, including collections of poetry, most recently, Landed; The Sky Begins At Your Feet: A Memoir on Cancer, Community & Coming Home to the Body; a beloved writing guide, Write Where You Are; and several anthologies. She is Founder of Transformative Language Arts – a master’s program in social and personal transformation through the written, spoken, and sung word at Goddard College, Vermont, where she teaches. Mirriam-Goldberg also leads writing workshops widely. With singer Kelley Hunt, she co-writes songs, offers collaborative performances, and leads writing and singing Brave Voice retreats.

She writes weekly columns and serves as poet-in-residence for www.TheMagazineOfYoga.com. Her daily blog posts, “Everyday Magic,” include occasional podcasts and writing exercises.

Amber Lea Starfire is Publisher & Editor of Writing Through Life, a freelance editor, writer, and teacher. Her personal passion is to help others tell their stories and make meaning of their lives by accessing their inner wisdom and creative power through the act of writing. She has taught at community colleges and businesses for over twenty years and offers online courses and workshops in journaling, finding your voice, and the art of revising your writing. Amber is also the Coordinator for the Story Circle Network Online Classes Program and an active member of Napa Writers Circle, the National Association of Independent Writers and Editors, California Writers Club, and the International Association for Journal Writing. She is currently pursuing an MFA in creative writing while working on her memoir, A Mother Like Mine.
